Why Conduct an Identity Check?

The foundation of any background check is an Identity check, where it is ensured that the most important claim is verified and the person who is getting hired is actually the person believed to be. A legitimate Identity Check Verification of the prospective employee is the first essential step of the screening process. A comprehensive Identity Check not only verifies name, date of birth, address records or other relevant data, but it also exposes pseudonyms/ aliases that helps to gain an insight into the candidate’s true character. If a document is proved to be fake, the employer is notified immediately thus, preventing from hiring a candidate underneath a fake identity. Only with exact name matches a great amount of criminal record data can be retrieved. Often nicknames or abbreviated names are used by candidates to hide their criminal history. Hence, through these kinds of information, concealed criminal data and cross-reference records can be revealed which would otherwise be unachievable or impossible to relate with the candidate. Though financial or criminal facts are not included in the identity screening reports, they deliver enough primary insights required to know who is to be hired. Hence, a legitimate Identity Check Verification for your employee, must be the key component of a comprehensive screening practice in your Company.
